Five Quick Face Fixes

This week is focused on simple solutions for minor beauty problems you have or will experience. Five Quick Face Fixes (try saying that three times!) are easy to remember and great to pass on. Share these with your sister, mom or girlfriends — we girls gotta stick together!

1. LOWER LASH SMUDGE

Raccoon eyes in a matter of hours? Hate that! So the obvious fix is to opt out of mascara on the lower lashes. BUT if you must wear mascara on the bottom, here’s what ya gotta do: First, wipe the mascara wand with a tissue to take off excess. Then, take your wand vertically and sweep across lashes, applying from inner to outer corner of your lash. This delivers less product to the lashes. Finally, apply loose translucent powder on lashes with a dry sponge.

2. MORNING-AFTER BEARD BURN

I am very thankful that the hipster beard/mustache look is on its way out . . . cause let me tell you — kissy kissy, ouchy ouch, my face hurts!! Ok, only joking. BUT if you are laughing and shaking your head right now it’s because you know exactly what I’m talking about! Anyway, use a tiny amount of over-the-counter cortisone cream (not to be confused with hydrocortisone) and apply to the areas that are “burned.” Works like magic! And mom will never know what happened last night. *wink wink*

3.TIRED EYES

Late nights can SOOO be worth the fun! Fixing those tired eyes is easy: The next morning try using a nude or peachy toned pencil liner on your water line. (Some people use white but this can look a bit harsh.) Also, to open the eye more, dab a bit of highlighter or shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eye.

4.NOT-SO-PERKY POUT

If your lipstick is too matte or makes your lips look flat, grab your shimmery eye shadow and apply a touch to the center of your lips. This will make your lips oh-so-perky.

5. CAKEY FACE

We all love cake. Yep, nothing is sweeter than a frosted slice or cupcake . . . but on your face?? No way honey! Spritz some water or Epicuren Protein Mist to bring back some moisture into your skin. Buff with a damp sponge until the foundation is blended well into skin and leaves you with a dewy finish.

Do you have any face fixes you can share?!
