1.Where are your favorite places to shop for beauty or fashion items in Prague?

My favorite place to shop fashion items in Prague is Outlet Parizska 25. This place is located right at the main shopping luxury street in Prague called Parisian street. This place offers you nice outlet pieces from the latest designer collections for reasonable price. This boutique has nice interior design and mirrors all over the place and stuff always threat you nicely.

I also like Czech Labels & Friends – nice place to shop for talented Czech and Slovak designers’ pieces. The philosophy of the boutique is to return Slovak and Czech designers into our wardrobe. Although you can find very cool designed pieces in this small boutique, the prices of the clothes are little bit high for Czech customers, therefore people usually do not buy the designer’s clothes very much.

Very nice place for buying perfumes and cosmetics is the beauty boutique, Ingredients, which presents a selection of the latest cult products – niche perfumes, skin care and candles. Crafted using the world´s finest natural raw materials, they offer breathtaking olfactory compositions in an exceptional design.

2. 5 Items currently in your beauty drawer or wardrobe.

I really care about my skin, therefore I spend a lots of money on good quality cosmetics.

I work in stressful and busy environment with strong air-conditioning, so I like hydrating my skin because it is little dry. As the skin cream I use Lancome Hydra Zen.

My favorite make up is  Lancome Teint Miracle  in the  natural light color.

Bobbi Brown makes my favorite lightweight powder bronzer. It is my secret to achieving a sun-kissed look.

Diorshow Extase Mascara has been my favorite mascara since I have started wearing make up.

I love lipstick and art sticks. Mostly I prefer darker colors. My favorite are all red mattes lipsticks especially from YSL or MAC cosmetics.

However,  Rose Brown Art Stick by Bobbi Brown is my favorite lipliner/lipstick in my drawer.

4. How would you describe women and beauty/fashion in Prague. Do they have any rituals or styles exclusive or common amongst women there?

I would say that typical Czech women are little bit conservative and they do not follow fashion trends. They prefer comfortable and sporty looks /sporty sandals, cross body sporty handbags / rather than high fashion pieces. Most of them do not follow fashion trends and still dress like 20 years ago. They like buying clothes for reasonable prices and they do not pay attention on material or the design of the product. There are some women who try to follow the trends but they wear all the same and it is difficult to find somebody who interests you on the street or in the public traffic. Typical Czech women do not wear a lot of make up and they do not pay attention to beauty rituals so much.

On the other hand, you do have women who put a lot more effort into their appearance and style. These women invest their money into good quality beauty products as well as to the fashion pieces. They mostly shop at Parisian street or overseas. These women have their personal hairdressers in very popular hair salons (Petra Mechurova, Toni&GUY, Red Salon) or they use the services of their personal fashion stylists. They attend lots of fancy events and always try to look perfect. These women like using services of famous Czech make up artists. Successful Czech women are very beautiful and always good looking and they have really good taste in fashion.

Have you visited Prague? What are some of your favorite places to go? Where is your dream vacation?

  • Never been to Prague. I’m actually surprised by your description of the typical Czech women’s style, I actually expected them to dress up a lot and be very much into make-up.
