Bumble and Bumble Prep Spray

Bumble and Bumble Prep Spray is one of my personal must-haves and something I always bring with me on set. If you’re ever backstage at a fashion show or on set, most likely you’ll see it sitting on the hairstylist station. It is amazingly lighter than water and does a few things:

    1. It acts as a “primer” to even out the porosity of your hair before applying additional products. As you layer products on top, your hair will hold is evenly and all day.
    2. It breaks up product if you’ve overdosed on your application. It gives you the ability to start over again with damp hair instead of going through the whole process of washing your hair to remove product.

{ TIP }

Instead of taking a shower to calm your wild bed-head hair or re-align your part, save time by spritzing on this magic number before you run out the door. Your hair will dry in a matter of minutes and the oil you may have gotten while sleeping won’t be such a trouble maker because – remember – this is lighter than water! This is particularly good if you have crazy bangs that stick up in all directions.

Have you tried Bumble and Bumble Prep Spray?

  • Sunnie,

    Awesome to know! I have a hard tks finding people who are knowledgeable about Bumble and Bumble products. I like this idea so much better than something like a dry shampoo which is too extreme for my needs anyways. I’ve recently started using Bumble’s Styling Creme but it’s not giving me the volume I want. I have an angled bob, any product suggestions? Thanks in advance : ) Your blog is a breath of fresh air!

      Hello Marcella!

      Yes! the styling creme I recommend for medium to thick hair and is useful for hold an to control these textures. From the sounds of it tho you are wanting to beef up your texture and create more va va voom in your look?! I would recommend the Bb thickening spray then for you or the surf spray. Both will give your hair the extra volume you are desiring and stay style strong all day long! If you have a wavy/curly texture that you are trying to control when you blowdry I would suggest their straight or their de-frizz serum to control the curly texture and then layer on a volumizing spray.

  • Hello Sunnie 🙂

    Love this!! I won’t have to wake up as early for castings to get the kinks out 🙂 Thank you! Love your blog
